Fatal Crash Closes Portion of Highway 401
30-Year-Old Kitchener Man Killed
A portion of Highway 401 has been reopened following a fatal crash that claimed the life of a 30-year-old Kitchener man. The incident occurred when the man's vehicle collided with the back of a delivery truck that had stalled on the highway.
Detour in Place
Motorists heading westward on Highway 401 are advised to plan a detour through the area of Ingersoll. The detour will be in place until further notice.
Man in Critical Condition
In a separate incident, a 67-year-old Kitchener man is in hospital in critical condition after a collision on Highway 401 near Toronto. The man's vehicle was involved in a collision with another vehicle.
The cause of both crashes is under investigation by police.
