Highway 401 Closure in Milton Following Serious Collision

Milton, ON (Aug. 14, 2023) - The westbound lanes of Highway 401 in Milton were closed Thursday night after a serious collision involving two trucks. The Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) are investigating the crash, which occurred around 10:36 p.m. near James Snow Parkway.

According to the OPP, a suspect impaired driver was arrested at the scene. The driver of the other truck was transported to hospital with serious injuries.

The westbound lanes of Highway 401 were closed for several hours while police investigated the crash. The closure has since been lifted.

The OPP is reminding drivers to be aware of their surroundings and to never drive under the influence of alcohol or drugs.
